With most security solutions for WordPress, the information provided on blocked attack attempts seems to be mainly focused on scaring you in to thinking that more protection is being provided than really is. They also fail to provide useful insights in to what is being targeted.
With our firewall plugin, we combine the information being logged for blocked attacks with additional data on exploit attempts, which allows us to identify if many of the exploit attempts against plugin vulnerabilities involve plugins you have installed. If a vulnerability is being targeted in a plugin not used on your website, you can tell this isn’t a targeted attack.
The logging system also allows you to report to us exploit attempts we are not aware of, which helps to identify zero-day vulnerabilities that hackers have discovered and have started exploiting. That faster those are identified, the less WordPress websites are going to get hacked because of them.
